What is your favorite ‘retro’ item in your collection?

I recently moved from a small apartment to a bigger house, and I have a lot of boxes to unpack. Many of which have been packed up for several years due to the small apartment not having enough room for my collection. Unpacking some of these boxes is like Christmas morning, though it is more of a rediscovery of old forgotten toys and games than receiving new ones. I will finally have space to display my Legend of Zelda collection! Needless to say, I am pretty excited.

I’ve been playing The Legend of Zelda series since I was old enough to hold a controller. My grandma has a NES (yes my grandma was a gamer), and I would always love playing Zelda, Mario, Excitebike, Castlevania, and all sorts of great classics, though back in the day they were just ‘games’ and not ‘retro’ yet lol. Even though I was too young to really get anywhere in the game, this was the start of my love for Zelda, Link, and Hyrule.

The Legend of Zelda series has always been one of my favorites, and many of the items in my LoZ collection are my favorite throughout my entire video game collection. While I might have games that are more expensive, more flashy, or even in better condition, this Classic Series version of the original Legend of Zelda will always hold a close place in my heart because of what it represents.

So, what is your favorite retro item in your collection? Have a favorite Super Famicom / Nintendo controller? An awesome Game and Watch from back in the day? Nintendo World Championships Gold Cart from 1990??? Let’s hear it!
